Begalka 6141
DOB 2016
Sire: Shoot Yeah
Dam’s Sire: Player
Blood Work: QRFD
We purchased this one right from the heart of Begalka’s Donor pen. Not only a great female to look at but a powerhouse producer. $28,600 in progeny sales! Her 2019 WC wether was a very dominant show wether for the Larson family winning Grand Champion at the Showdown of Champions in SD, Reserve Grand Champion SD State Fair FFA Show, and also 3rd Overall at both the Summer Spotlight and SD State Fair 4H Show. One of her 2020 Unicorn ewe lambs was Madison Fairley’s Grand Champion Market Ewe and 3rd Overall at the 2020 SD State Fair 4H Show. 2 were retained in the Begalka flock and other daughters reside at AWTR, Fairley Farms, Ryan Club Lambs, and Goodson. In 2021, her first set for us generates a keeper ewe lamb and a stylish wether.

Sire: Heavy Duty
Dam’s Sire: King Tut
Blood Work: RRFF
At the urging of our Dad, we specifically leased Heavy Duty in the Fall of 2017 to make replacement ewes. Dad wasn’t well enough to make it to the barn to see any of his offspring. But as these ewes matured we knew 161 and 162 were special. And by the time they were yearlings, 162 was our favorite replacement.

Queen Bee
DOB 2015
Sire: King Tut
Dam’s Sire: Hoss/Achor
Blood Work: RRFF
If you’ve been thru our facilities you have probably heard of Queen Bee. She is one of the oldest ewes on the farm, and for good reason. Never fail, Queen Bee hits it out of the park. And now her multiple daughters retained in the flock are doing the same. She is a King Tut x Hoss who goes back to our very first ewe purchase. She continues to produce lambs that excel in the ring and the lambing jugs. Queen Bee is exactly what we look for in breeding pieces here at Chapman Brothers Show Stock, as we focus on sound structured, complete sheep that will perform for our clients.

Sire: Poker Face
Dam’s Sire: Picasso

We purchased this ewe from Shroyer because we were looking for a big racked, big footed, deep bodied one and she just so happened to be bred to Big Rig. Since Big Rig semen was off limits at the time, this purchase was a no brainer for us. Not to mention she had been a previous donor for John. After having 3 beautiful Big Rig triplet bucks for us, we moved her to the donor pen.
